Top 12 Awaited Movies Of 2012

If doomsday is not expect to happen, we expect the Hindi film industry to reach new standards of world cinema with maturity in cinema goers and more awesome talents to get into the line, this year. Follows a list of our exceptional movies for which many filmmakers, critics, Bollywood Buffs are enthusiastically waiting and seems  promising. Happy New Year!

1. Gangs of Wasseypur

Anurag Kashyap movie.
Packed in 2 parts.
Enough said.

2. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

Dark cinema has been the forte of Vishal Bhardwaj. This time he plans to return with a dark comedy based in Haryana starring Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma. We shall expect some typical Vishal Bhardawj in some new style!
Directed by Dibakar Banerjee. Here's a director who's recent work defines offbeat and path breaking cinema. His recent works ranges of movies like the ever enjoyable Khosla Ka Ghosla and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye! to the shocking LSD. Will he continue to enthrall us? The film is a political thriller and stars Emraan Hashmi, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koelchin in the lead.

4. Talaash

Aamir Khan returns to the silver screen after the humungous success of 3 Idiots and an enjoyable stint in Delhi Belly. The movie, directed by Reema Kagti (of Honeymoon fame) promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. Easily one of the most awaited movies of 2012.

Remake of the cult classic of the 90's.Hrithik Roshan stepping into Big B's shoes as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. Katrina Kaif's item song as Chikni Chameli. Produced by Dharma Productions. Any more reasons to watch?

6. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
After a dissapointing Delhi 6, the maker of the cult film Rang De Basanti, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra returns with this sports drama based on the life on Milkha Singh. The film stars Farhan Akhtar playing the lead alongside Sonam Kapoor.

After sending the temperatures soaring in The Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan returns this year with Kahaani. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh (of Jhankaar Beats fame) revolves around a pregnant woman in search of her lost husband. With Vidya shooting into space of "Bollywood's powerful heroine", this is one movie to watch out for.

The film is Madhur Bhandarkar's "magnum opus". The film stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead. The story revolves around the life of an actress whose career spirals down from successful heights. The movie has already garnered much attention prior to its shooting. Its slated for a late 2012 release.

9. Agent Vinod
After making one heck of a crime thriller with Johnny Gaddar, but a dull Dum Maaro Dum (sorry we mistook him for Sridhar Raghavan), director Sriram Raghavan's returns this year with this action thriller. It stars Saif Ali Khan (also the producer) and Kareena kapoor in the lead. The film is Khan's most ambtious film till date and promises to be a path breaking action film.

10. Barfi
Earlier titled Silence, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor,Priyanka Chopra and south star Illeana D'Cruz.Directed by Anurag Basu,it includes Ranbir Kapoor reportedly playing the role of a deaf person and Priyanka Chopra playing a mentally challenged girl. With Ranbir and Priyanka playing offbeat roles in this one,it definitely qualifies as an interesting watch.

11. Lootera

The film is Vikramaditya Motwane's next flick after Udaan. It is a period drama starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. After the elevating Udaan, one cant help but wait for the director's next!

12. Ferrari Ki Sawaari
The film, starring Sharman Joshi is a fun family drama produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie marks the return of the makers of 3 idiots with Raju Hirani being the scriptwriter in this case.

But we expect many small time, low production movies to enthrall us much more than the awaited biggies, just like it did last year!
